• The project
On the basis of existing developments, bookBeo planned to develop 2D codes network for applications and videos, enabling access to information and cultural resources for deaf and hard of hearing people.
• The principle
By scanning 2D codes with handitag application, mobile users can access videos subtitled and doubled with sign language. In the application some other services will also be integrated such as the possibility to find, through geolocation, any location proposing adapted access and services.
• The advantages
No need anymore to register for a specific guided visit or to rent a specific device. Visits can be made autonomously in the same conditions as any other visitors. The smartphone becomes an element of a better life all together.
Handitag is also interested by publishing and scholar books.
